Hello there crafty people! It's Katelyn here with a new project featuring the Out and About collection! I decided to try a little bit of mixed media for the background on this layout. After digging in my stash I found some perfect colors to match the Out and About collection! I chose a yellow and orange gelato and a blue distress spray. I used the packaging technique to get the watercolor background look.
After my mixed media was dry, I worked on my photo layers. I used the diagonal stripe paper as photo mats and then using the word paper as a large photo mat under both photos. Next up I used some of the cut apart pieces as accents on my layout!
My title piece is one of those cut apart pieces. I simple rounded the corners to give it a more finished look. I used two of the smaller square cut apart bits and trimmed the images out. I used the compass point and the bus as ephemera pieces on my layout.
I used the tiny heart stamp from the Focus On You Stamp Set to make little heart accents from scrap papers form the collection. I added some tiny word stickers and a label for journaling.
