Sassy Since Birth by Jenn
Hello, Jenn here! Happy Victoria Day to all my scrappy Canadians!!! Hope it's been a nice long weekend and that you are maybe enjoying a bbq, or bonfire with a frosty cold one :) How are you all doing? We are still doing well over here, enjoying the nice weather we're finally getting, and preparing for our province to slowly open up over the next few months. I've been so excited to start working with the Sassy Since Birth collection because I have three pretty sassy kids. Last week my youngest told me that he is sassier than his sister, so...
Let's Fly Away by Jenn
Hello, Jenn here!!! One of the goals I've set for myself this year is to embrace simplicity. I love embellishing and sometimes I can't help but want to put all the things on every layout, but often, my favourite layouts are the ones with a little less. Not every layout needs all the things. This is especially true when you have a meaningful, and/or really gorgeous photo, and a great scrapbooking collection. While looking through some old pictures I came across the pictures I took way back in 2009 when my daughter and I flew back home for the first...
Cheers by Jenn
Hello Foodies, Jenn here with another layout using the Talk Foodie to Me collection :) This week I really wanted to pull out the Talk Foodie to Me stamp set and make my own embellishments to go along with some pictures of an Oktoberfest beer and food event from last year. I started by stamping the full image of the beer stein on some white cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in fossilized amber. I wanted to give my beer steins a layers look so I chose to stamp the outline on vellum, and after experimenting with different ink colours,...
Sneak Peek: Watercolouring Floral Stamps and Video by Karla
Hello friends! Karla here today with a fun sneak peek at the new collection that will hit the shelves April 1st! You guessed it... it definitely has to do with florals, and today I'm sharing the gorgeous 4x6" Floral stamp set that is part of this beautiful collection. As soon as I saw this set I knew I wanted to watercolour it - and show you how easy it is to do that with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers and gold embossing powder. By embossing on Bristol Cardstock the ink and water stays inside the 'wells' created and you can easily...
It Was Always You by Jenn
Hello, Jenn here. I'm wrapping up my month of creating with the Forever and Always collection by having some fun with mixed media :) I keep seeing these gorgeous mixed media layouts on Instagram that just have me swooning, and I thought I would give it a try. I started with some white cardstock and a heart stencil from Stampin' Up. I used white texture paste through to stencil in the bottom left corner, and opposite top right corner. I used my watercolours to match the colours from the collection and smooshed them onto the corners with texture paste using...
