Guest DT Karla is Back!

Hi friends! Karla back today as a Guest Designer for September, and I’m so excited to share the newest Wild Whisper collection - Farmhouse!! I love the gorgeous farm themed papers in the 12x12 paper pack, and I’m using them today along with the wonderful Farmhouse Ephemera diecut pieces. You’ll definitely want to check the store for more coordinating pieces though - stamps, flair and cards!! This paper was so perfect to document a day at a local petting zoo/farm near our home. I started off with the September sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and used the fantastic woodgrain paper in the paper pack as my background. I love that this paper changes colour from one side to the other with a lovely greenish blue on the right!
I created an embellishment cluster using a sentiment from the cut apart sheet, layered on another piece of patterned paper and an ephemera diecut horse shoe and barn. I coloured in the barn, which was black and white, with alcohol based markers in coordinating colours. The designs on the branding strips are always one of my favourite things, and I used them across the top left and bottom right edges to match the sketch. 
I cut strips for journaling out of the ‘cracked ‘ paper, writing directly on it before gluing  it down.  I found some letter stickers in my stash that matched in colour and layered them partially over the photo, which is bordered with the beautiful yellow print paper in the paper pack. 
The little rooster from the diecut ephemera pack was so cute and perfect to layer over the bottom of my photo along with the little bird footprints. I added some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and some gold puffy  stickers from my stash.
