Hello! Karla here today, and I'm so happy to be back today with a cute Halloween layout about the cute Hand Me Down costume my youngest daughter, Erica, wore - passed down from her older sister and her cousin before that! I can also see now this is where the Zombie phase started for Amie, who was 9 at the time... This year she's going to be a slice of pizza, so thankfully Wild Whisper has pizza paper, and we've broken the cycle, he he! However, for this layout I'm using the awesome Halloween Night paper and sequins! I love the cool, spooky vibe of this paper pack, and that it can compliment any Halloween photos - creepy and cute! Scroll down to get the link to the video where you can see exactly how this layout comes together.
I used some Southern Ridge Trading Company chipoard images and words to embellish the layout. Painted with a metallic watercolour paint they look extra cool!
The branding strips in the paper packs are always exciting to check out as they have super awesome images and sentiments! Here I cut up one to use different words around my photos as well as using the Halloween word as part of my title. I also used the full strip of the orange tombstones on my layout as part of the design.
I just love the full sheet of 'haunted house' paper, but I had already used half for another project, so I made it work by using the remaining half on the right side of my layout. I added stars stencilled with a Southern Ridge Trading Company stencil and Distress Oxide Ink and glued the coordinating sequins on with Ranger Matte Medium.
Be sure to check out the full process VIDEO here to see exactly how it all came together!
