Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be back on the blog sharing my Hold on to what makes you Happy Wall Hanging which features the Farmhouse Collection. To create my project, I've used a variety of the papers from the Farmhouse Collection, the Ephemera, the Card Pack and the Flair buttons to create my wall hanging. You'll want to grab a glass of your favourite Fall beverage as I will walk you through how to recreate my piece at home.
Choose one flair button from the Flair package.
From the ephemera package, you'll need the hold on to sentiment, the horseshoe, the chicken print and three hoof prints. Fussy cut the horseshoe and hoof prints. Distress the edges of the sentiment. Ink the edges of all the pieces using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose a border strip and cut it down to 3 1/4". Distress the edges of the strip. Ink the edges of the strip using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the card pack you'll need the horse card, the farmhouse card, the label card, the cards with wheats and the rooster. Cut the horse card down to 2 3/4" x 4". Cut the label card to 3/4" x 2 1/4". Fussy cut the rooster and two of the wheats. Distress the edges of the horse card, the farmhouse card and the label. Ink the edges of all of the cards and fussy cut images.
The next few steps are going to use the paper from the paper pack. Cut one piece to 3 1/8" x 5 7/8". Cut a second piece to 2 1/8" x 3 7/8". Fussy cut a barn out of the leftover patterned paper. Distress the edges of the papers. Ink the edges of the papers and barn using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the crackle paper, cut a piece that measures 3 3/8" x 6". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the barn door paper, cut a piece that measures 3 5/8" x 6 1/4". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the wheat paper, cut a piece that measures 3 7/8" x 6 3/8". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
You'll need either a piece of chipboard or a bingo card that measures 3 7/8" x 6 1/2". Distress the edges of the bingo card. Ink the edges of the bingo card using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the wheat paper to the bingo card. Adhere the barn door paper to the wheat paper. Adhere the crackle paper to the barn door paper. Adhere the barn paper to the crackle paper.
Adhere the border strip 1/2" from the left and 1 3/4" from the top of the bingo card. Adhere the label 1/4" from the right and 7/8" from the top of the bingo card. Foam square the farmhouse card 3/4" from the left and 1 1/4" from the top of the bingo card.
