Hello my creative friends! Today I am sharing with you a creative project that is “off the page”. In this project we will be upcycling a half size wine bottle to create a beautiful wine bottle flower vase using the Wild Whisper Designs Strength of the Season collection. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this is an easy project than can be a gift for that special person in your life.
To create this wine bottle flower vase, I used the yellow Road Trip patterned paper as it coordinated so well with the Strength of the Season collection. I also used a combination of stamped images from the Strength of the Season Stamp Set as well as the ephemera from this collection to decorate this vase.
To easily color the stamped flower images, use a Ranger Blending Tool and foams to add ink to the sunflower images. To color the centers of the flowers, use Distress Ink with a water brush and fussy cut the images out. To give the flowers dimension, use a flower shaping tool.
To add a final touch to this project, create a tag using the yellow Road Trip patterned paper and stamp “Live fully in the season you’re in” from the Strength of the Season Stamp Set on the tag. By adding this to the bottle mouth with string and charms, this adds the perfect final touch to this project.
