Hello lovely Wild Whisper friends :) Jenn here with a layout using the Talk Foodie to Me collection. Are you having as much fun with this collection as I am? I just had to use this collection to document my son's love of wonton noodle soup from our local favourite pho restaurant. The inspiration of for the design came from all the amazing die cuts in the Talk Foodie to Me ephemera pack!!!
I started by pulling out all my favourite die cuts and arranging them to frame the photo in the center of some black cardstock. I also pulled out four little labels to add to the edge of the cardstock, at the top and bottom. I picked some large die cuts and then some smaller ones, like the little words, to layer on top. I used foam to pop some of them up and add dimension.
I used the 12x12 watermelon paper, and the blue mason jar paper to matte the photo, and cut a green square from the cut-apart sheet to add a little pop of that colour into the layers as well, to match Fox's shirt. For a little extra interest and texture I added Talk Foodie to Me flair and sequins in with the die cuts.
I felt like the layout still needed some sort of border around the edge, so I pulled out the Talk Foodie to Me stamp set to use some of the sentiments and the label stamp. I love the way that Tim Holtz Distress Oxides look on black cardstock so I chose a few colours that matched the collection as close as possible and stamped all around the edges of the layout. Finally I put a small and large label at the top left corner of the page and the bottom right. I added a little journalling into the smaller labels, and then used my white pen draw a sketchy border.
