Hello creative friends! Today I am sharing a scrapbooking page using Gelli prints made with the Wild Whisper Designs Disjointed and Circlet stencils. If you have never tried Gelli printing, I would highly recommend it. It is a fun and relaxing way to experience creative play.
For this project, I used prints made with the Gelli Arts small gel plates. To see the demo on how to make these prints, follow this link. These prints were made with a hexagon Gelli plate to create strong shapes on the page. If Gelli printing is not something you are interested in, you could use any of the Wild Whisper Designs pattern papers cut into shapes for a similar effect.
I cut several of my photos in the same shapes as the prints, this way I could add my photos as part of the pattern to this page. I arranged my Gelli prints to not cover the whole page but instead brings the eye down across the page from left to right.
I love the patterns of the Gelli prints but wanted a strong focal image. My focal images was a photo from one of my fall walks through the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. This photo was a perfect complement for the Strength of the Seasons ephemera. I used the quote “seasons change and so do we” as the title for this page. I love the idea of seasons and how we change as the years and months go by.
To complete this page, I added paint splatters with blue and yellow paint and added journaling with a Gelly Roll pen.
