Hello, Jenn here! How are you all doing? Today I am sharing with you, a layout that I created using my March How To Kill A Kit With Style. This month's theme is Books so natually, I had to use the One More Chapter collection. If you love to document your reading, this is the collection for you, from the papers to the stamp set, you will want it all!
To create this layout I paired a Freaky Fast Formula from The Scraproom with today's sketch from 30 Days of Sketches series 11. I started by cutting my One More Chapter pattern papers to the sizes listed in the Freaky Fast Friday formula for this week and set them to the side. I then painted circles on my white cardstock background, in blue, yellow, and red, using watercolours, similar to the circles in inspiration sketch. I knew my pattern papers would cover a lot of the circles so I didn't worry about making them perfect, and chose to go for more of a loose, sketchy look!
When the watercolour was dry I layered my pattern papers together with some going vertical and some horizontal, in the bottom right hand corner of the layout, to roughly match the sketch. I added the bookmark shaker pocket that I created during the March 1st Facebook Live (have you checked out the Lives yet? Every Wednesday on the Facebook page. I finished the layout with a couple of pieces from the One More Chapter ephemera pack, and some One More Chapter flair, and of course, sequins. I also dog-eared a corner of one of the patterned papers, and put some embroidery floss behind the flair, to add texture and interest. This was a fun layout to put together and I loved the challenge of combining two inspiration elements.
