We adore this layout by Tori Bissell! She has put so much love into the journaling and a ton of detail into the design. Be sure to check out her process video below and from here we will let her take it away!
Hi everyone, Tori here with a scrapbooking process video. You know, sometimes the photo sparks inspiration for a layout and sometimes it’s a product. Well today’s inspiration all entered around the stamp - Everything I am You helped me to Be from the World’s Best stamp set.
A few months ago when my grandpa passed away I started thinking about all the things I’ve learned from him. So when I saw this stamp set I just knew I really wanted to create a layout about my grandpa and how he shaped my life. That led me to pull out this photo of my grandpa and I and add my journaling.
The other thing that really inspired my layout was this incredible leaf paper from the World’s Best collection. I have an addiction to fussy cutting leaves and florals and I knew I just couldn’t wait to start cutting out those leaves. Once I had them all cut out the whole layout came together really quickly and easily.
I grabbed the Soda Fiz stencil and some acrylic paint to create a really cool splatter effect to the background. I then used the leaf stamp to add some subtle double stamping in the background. I love how that adds so much definition, layers and intrigue.
Once that was done I stuck down my photo and got to embellishing - my favourite part. I started by using one of those adorable little wood veneer keys right under the stamp. I then used cork hearts, enamel dots, pearls, and buttons to add a lot of bling to the layout.
I finished off my layout with some journaling about my grandpa and I call that done. I hope this inspires you to share a story of someone whose shaped you - and if you have the chance, tell them.
xoxo Tori
