Today we have Tori Bissell sharing a great transitional post - she has made a ton of cards using all kinds of scraps from our previous collections! She has really inspired us to add to our own card stashes using scraps and we know that you will be inspired too!
Hi everyone! Today I thought it would be fun to use my Wild Whisper scraps to make some scrap your scraps cards. I gathered all of my scrap paper, branding strips and journaling cards from past collections and started cutting and gluing.
Whenever I make cards, I typically batch the process - which means I make a bunch of cards all at one time. I made 12 cards today - just using my Wild Whisper scraps and I love the way they worked out.
I began by cutting some cardstock down so it was the correct size for a card, I scored in the middle and then folded. If you’re wondering, my card bases are 8.5x5.5 and I scored at 4.25. I started each card the same by cutting down a piece of paper that was 4 x 5.25 and stuck that down.
Then I started using the other scraps to layer papers. I love mixing patterned papers and seeing which patters work well together and making cards is the perfect way to do that.
After that, I used some stamps from my stash to create cute little sentiments for my cards. I used the leftover paper from the paper pack overviews to stamp on - no wasting anything. I then cut those sentiments out or used my punches to punch them out.
I really wanted to play with my punches some more so I punched out a bunch of shapes and layered those with my sentiments.
And finally, to finish off the cards I added some sequins and cork hearts from the Wild Whisper shop. I love how those details just finished them off perfectly.
Simple cards, simple process and my scraps are scrapped.
