Hi all! Rachel Stewart is here today with a wonderful pocket page layout. As always, her clean style really shines and we just love this creation! From here we will let her take it away!
Hello crafty friends! Purple is my absolute favorite fall color - I love how it complements golds and yellows. So when I saw this new collection, Sweater Weather, I knew I would be in love.. and once I got it in my hands I was proved correct. I document fall the way that most people document December. I love everything about it.
I had lots of pictures to scrap from a weekend in the mountains, and knew that the "Sweater Weather" card pack would be perfect to create a project life spread. I chose a few of my favorite cards to add in. I also wanted to create a shaker pocket with the coordinating sequin mix. I like to use a card as a background rather than just allowing it to be see through - that way the back page doesn't have to match. I stitched the pocket closed for a little added interest.
*Tip* Be sure the back of the card is a good neutral so you can easily pair it with whatever spread you create - because once you're stitched there's no going back.
I snipped a little from a pretty purple card to create a label - I wanted to balance out the purple a little more on the bottom of the spread. Also, how stinking cute is that pumpkin filler card? I love the watercolor look it has.
I finished off my page with an old Wild Whisper wood veneer heart I had in my stash, and also added a little bit of stamping/journaling. So quick, easy, and pretty.
I hope you get a chance to play with this new collection!
