Nathalie DeSousa is back from the 2017 team with a gorgeous Sweater Weather layout! We couldn't say goodbye to her quite yet. We love that she used inspiration from one of the pattern papers to create her own watercolour background. The result is gorgeous! Hi there, Nathalie with you today, bringing you a Fall inspired layout using the beautiful Sweater weather collection.
Though the design of this page changed as it was created (I ran into a few issues with embossing inks), I was able to salvage the page by creating an ombre/gradient color wash for the background of this page.
The leaf pattern in one of the papers of the Sweater Weather collection was the inspiration for the page, so I decided to fussy cut the images. I made sure to cut leaves from all the different colors in the page, so that they could be re-positioned accordingly in the created background.
A bit of folding and creasing the leaves, along with some foam adhesive creates movement in the page. The simple machine stitches adds to the texture of the page.
The journal cards from the Sweater Weather collection are beautiful, but in this page they served as layers behind the picture. I love all the wood veneer that Wild Whisper has to offer, in this case I pulled Hearts, Love, Nature Mix, Maple Leaf sets to add the title, and clusters in the page. The wood veneer is the perfect complement to the layout.
The stamp set from the Sweater Weather collection was also used to create the small sentiment at the bottom of the page. A bit of archival ink is all you need to stamp it straight on to the picture.
Finally, a few sequins from the Rooted Love, Sweater Weather and World’s Best was scatter along the page. The final look of this page is lovely, even when the design took a major change along the way! I hope you all takes a few minutes to see how this page was created.
