Hello and welcome back blog readers! Alexandria Goodman is sharing a layout tutorial with us today. Once again, she has a wonderful photo from Ireland, but this one features the plane ride home. From here we will let Alexandria take it away!
I pulled out only the pieces from the Out & About collection and another photo from my sister's Ireland trip. This photo was out the plane window on their way home after the trip was over.
I am trying to get away from making every single layout with a white background, so I selected the beautiful blue airplane paper. The photo doesn't do it justice, it was dark and rainy when I was working, so my photos didn't turn out the greatest. I also took out some of the 3x4 and 4x6 cards because I love adding them to my traditional layouts. They're a quick way to add sentiments and images without having a ton of product lying around.
I loved the little strip of stamps along the side of this 4x6 card, so I trimmed them off and saved the rest of the card (the image on the back is completely intact still).
Grids and straight lines will forever be my go to layouts. They're so easy and simple to work with.
I wanted more contrast/colour on this layout so I trimmed down the orange circle paper to mat my other pieces onto. I wasn't quite sold on the orange, so I left everything un-glued and pulled out the stamps.
I love the compass stamp. I punched a 2 inch circle and it fit perfectly inside.
And done. I flipped the orange paper over and stuck the green and blue design behind my photos, and used the remaining half of the paper behind it with the orange side up. I added my title to the 3x4 card along with the date and stuck the compass on the bottom left.
