Hello everyone and happy August! Today I have a Traveler's Notebook spread. The photo I used was from last year's 4th of July celebration so I decided to do a fun festive layout.
I chose to use the bunting paper and journaling card from Forever and Always. This is a wedding collection so a layout like this would be really cute for anything wedding related, but I also think you can use it for birthdays or anything else you're celebrating!
I fussy cut the bunting paper and arranged sections on one side of the notebook. I decided to back my photo on a small piece of paper from Small Patterns so the photo would stand out some from the page. I then fussy cut the bunting off of a journaling card and added it to the page so it was overlapping the photo. I like to use elements like this on Traveler's Notebook spreads to tie the two sides together.
For the final touches I added my title and a date stamp (If you look closely you'll see this wasn't actually the 4th of July but the 3rd. We went to our local fair and celebrated a day early). I also add sequins to the page which I wanted to look like confetti. I think sequins can be a fun edition to things like Traveler's Notebooks and pocket pages because they are flat and won't add bulk to your album.
