Emily is Sharing Two Disney Pages!

Emily Ferrario is back with two 6x8 Disney pocket pages today! We love how she made multiple collections work for her Disney adventure. Emily will take it from here!

Today I have a mini layout to share using the new Fur Babies mini kit and some other Wild Whisper collections! I sadly don’t have any pets of my own so I used the Fur Babies collection to add embellishments on a spread about meeting Pluto at Walt Disney World. For my layout I have a photo from my first trip to Disney and my latest trip. I really wanted to showcase Wild Whisper’s papers in this layout so there are very minimal embellishments here. I used a paper from the Classic Woodgrains collection to create a card to back my photos on. I then used the dog bone paper from Fur Babies as embellishments to go along my photo and used the text paper to create tiny word embellishments to go under my photos. I also added the years the photos were taken in tiny number stickers. For my title cards I used one of my favorite papers from the More Adventures collection. I just love the design and the colors in this paper! I used thickers from my collection to spell out the words Then and Now. I finally choose to add my photo cards and title cards to my page protector diagonally from each other to balance out the page. Now on to the second Disney page!I absolutely loved the beach themed paper in the Wild Whimsy collection, but I wasn’t totally sure how I would use it because I don’t have any beach photos. Enter The Little Mermaid. I had a photo from my Disney trip when we resort hopped to Art of Animation and I saw the giant Ariel statue they have there. I backed the photo with a couple of papers from the Wild Whimsy collection and then created a 4x6 card out of the gorgeous beach paper. I used stamps and gold Thickers to write “Life is the Bubbles” which is a quote from the song Under the Sea.
I decided to create a shaker pocket for this layout. Instead of just sequins, I fussy cut some of the shells out of one of the papers and added them to the pocket as well. I added some iridescent chunky glitter that I think adds to the mermaid vibe. I don’t have a fuse tool or a sewing machine so I do a really simple hand stitch to close my shaker pockets. I just use a push pin to poke holes in my page protector, then use a basic running stitch to close the pocket. Super easy!
For the final pocket I used the lovely black and white sketched mermaids card from the Wild Whimsy card pack. I took the matching 12x12 paper and fussy cut a mermaid. I then backed her on a blue scrap from the beach paper I had already used. I then popped her up a bit to add some dimension to the card. And that’s the layout! I really love how fun and whimsical this one turned out!
