Fandom Comic Expo mini album by Jenn

Hello, Jenn here, and this week I have the start of my Calgary Comic Expo 2018 mini album.  My family and I have been going to the expo for many years now and we just love it.  I kept the premium passes that my husband and I had to use as the front and back covers for a mini album of our 2018 expo adventures.  As soon as I saw Fandom I knew it would be the perfect collection to use for this mini album as well.

I started by cutting down the 12x12 papers into the right size to create the pages of the album.  I cut down all of the papers, except the Hogwarts paper, which gave me a ton of pages, with lots of paper pieces left over for other projects.  Then I went through my photos, cut them apart, and organized them to match the papers.  This week I decided to focus on all the photos of my son Fox with his favourite Star Wars characters.  I paired the photos with the light saber papers, and covered the backs of that paper with some random papers from my stash.  I also went through the ephemera to pull out all the Star Wars pieces, as well as the card pack for the Star Wars cards.

For my first page I created two little flip out using 3 pictures each, then added some washi and an ephemera piece.  On the pack, I used a full 4x6 picture, with just some paper at the top and bottom to cover up the background paper that was showing.  I added two light sabers to the center of the picture, and a sentence to the bottom of the page.  I used a little washi at the top and bottom as well.  I created a flip out with on of the 3x4 cards and added another photo to the back of that card, using washi tape to cover up the background!  I also added a light saber to that picture as well.

For my second page, I covered the page with a black and red piece of paper, then added the light saber 4x3 card to the bottom and two little 2x2 photos at the top.  On the back of that page is the light saber pattern and I added a red 4x3 card to the bottom, a photo, and the star flair.  My last page has three pictures that aren't Star Wars themed so I used the red star paper, added some stars from the ephemera pack, some of the exclusive SpiegelMom Scraps sequins, and some little phrases from Tim Holtz.  On the back I added two business cards that I kept.  I made one of the business cards flip out so I could add photos from their booth as well.  I embellished with some washi tape, and the ephemera that says Always.

I plan to keep all of my pages fairly simple, but fun, and I will add journaling once the album is all done.  I have a process video for you to see how these pages all came together and hear some more of my thoughts.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and stay tuned next week to see more pages!!!  Until next time, Happy Scrapping :)

Jenn
