Hey everyone! Today I have a 9x12 scrapbook layout for my Disney album. It is from our day at Animal Kingdom and going on the safari! I decided to use papers from More Adventures and Classic Woodgrains to go with the nature theme.
This layout is similar to one I made in the past. The other layout was one that I framed and gave to friends as part of a housewarming gift, so I decided to try to make a similar layout for myself. For these layouts I cut various pieces of patterned paper into rectangles that were sized 1 1/2 by 2 inches. For the 9x12 size I was able to fit 5 across the top and down the side. I did leave a couple of spots that would have been covered by my photos empty.
I placed the pieces somewhat randomly, just making sure the same pattern wasn’t next to each other. I used a couple of pieces of double stick tape to tack each rectangle down. I then decided to add some stitching to the layout for an added detail. I chose to do a small line of stitches partially across three rectangles at the top and bottom of the page. I think I’ve mentioned before that I don’t have a sewing machine (maybe one day) so I just poked a few holes and did a back stitch with some off white thread.
For my title, I used the cut apart sheet from More Adventures and cut out the “Find Your Wild” square. To bring in the blue of the words I added a few enamel dots from my stash. And that’s it! I love how well this layout fits in with the style of Animal Kingdom!
