Hi Friends!
Today, I am creating a really fun scrapbooking layout with not a whole lot of supplies but that still packs a big punch! Those are my favorite layouts to create because--seriously--sometimes having quick and easy layout is just a win in our busy lives! The Pam Bray Sensations Paper Pack is seriously perfection for quick and easy impactful layouts!
I started with a black sheet of cardstock because I just love how adding black makes bright colors pop and this collection just matched her backpack perfectly! I cut out a strip of the waves paper and then fussy cut the florals from one of the other papers in this same collection. After that, this layout was easy peasy!
I wanted to add a little extra detail to my flowers so I chose epoxy flair for the centers that would reinforce the theme of my page. I added some little "Nests" of gold thread underneath just to add some additional texture and interest. I also took the small floral stamp from the Nicole Wright Fanciful Blooms Stamp Set to add a little extra floral detail to the wavy patterned paper. It was just the perfect little touch to make it unique.
Last, but not least, I added just a few little sticker hearts and my title elements. I decided that "Full of Wonder" would be my main title but that I also really loved the "Rise and Shine" element so that layered perfectly on top of my title and created a little extra subtitle element.
Total Side Note: Every year with school pictures, I try to take a photograph of my kids facing away from the camera. Don't get me wrong--I take the standard "Back to School" photos too but this is one of my favorites! I feel like an image like this says so much about her. The backpack choices...the new haircut...the uniform...and gazing into the future. You gotta try it!
There is a process video for this layout as well if you wanna check that out for more details or to see how the layout itself came together. I would love to see you attempt a layout with a black background and definitely encourage you to try this different photo perspective on a layout soon.
xoxo,
