I started the layout first. I cut narrow strips of the patterned paper with one edge having the scalloped pattern and the other being flat. Keep in mind the narrower strips that I cut off each time I cut another piece, are what I used for my card.
I created a simple layered background for the layout using black and white cardstock. Then I added the scalloped strips up the right hand side of the layout. Next I used the coordinating misters I had to splatter up both side of the strips.
Next I matted my 4x6 photo in white and then black cardstock. I also cut a small strip of pink cardstock and black cardstock to go under my matted photo. Then add the photo to the layout using foam tape for dimension.
Lastly, I added the title bits using puffy sticker works in the bottom left hand corner.
Much like the layout, I started the card by creating the layered base using black and white cardstock. Then, on the card front I added the sentiment sticker first. Next I added the leftover strip bits up the card and snipped off what was hanging over the edges. Voila, a super cute and easy card using some leftover patterned bits from your layout.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
