Hi friends! Karla here today, and I’m so excited to be back as a Guest Designer for August and September with two amazing new collections!! Today I’m sharing a layout about my two youngest girls reading - which they do a lot!! This collection is so perfect for documenting layouts about books, reading, school, library time... I just love it!!I started off by using the Project Life App to save my photos from my phone in a grid format of four pictures on a 4x6 photo. Then, I printed them with my Canon Selphy printer along with some journaling I created in the app as well. I love it when I’m able to get a bunch of photos on my page! I cut the Wild Whisper library date paper from the One More Chapter 12x12 paper pack into a banner shape, misted it in a few places with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and matted my photos before layering them on. The paper pack also includes a beautiful cut apart sheet with gorgeous handwritten quotes, but you might want to order the double paper pack since the back side of this paper is beautiful too ;) I chose one of the lovely quotes for the bottom of my layout and added some dates I fussy cut, die cuts cut from other papers in the pack, some SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and some stamped images you might recognize from the Wild Whisper World’s Best and Home For The Holidays Stamp Sets. I really love the book background paper I used on the right side of the layout, and I added one of the branding strips that you’ll find on the bottom of each piece of patterned paper in the pack. I grabbed some alpha stickers from my stash for the title and layered them across the bottom of the page. I stamped the stitching stamp, using Archival Ink, across the journaling card I printed, added a diecut tab and then used one of the awesome flairs that coordinates with the One More Chapter collection. I love all the great patterns on these flairs! I grabbed my hot glue gun to adhere it, but you could use Glossy Accents, glue dots, mat medium or your own favourite adhesive. I love the bit of dimension these add!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and letting me share this awesome new collection with you. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do! Wishing you a happy, crafty week ahead.
