Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! For today's post, I created this Happy Birthday Card. To create my card, I've used the Play In The Dirt Collection along with the Ledger 6x8 Stamp Set from Nicole Wright Designs. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Happy Birthday Card at home.
To start, you'll need the sun looking patterned paper out of the Play In The Dirt 12x12 Paper Pack. Cut the paper down to 4" x 5 1/4". Distress the edges if the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Next you'll need the floral patterned paper. Cut one piece that measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Flip the paper over and cut a piece that measures 1 1/2" x 5 1/4". Distress the edges of both pieces. Ink the edges of both pieces using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the wood patterned paper, cut a piece that measures 1 1/4" x 5". Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Next you'll need the green leaves patterned paper. Fussy cut the large red mushroom out. Flip the paper over and cut one piece that measures 3 3/4" x 5" and another piece that measures 1" x 4 3/4". Distress the edges of both patterned paper pieces. Ink the edges of all the pieces using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottom of the patterned papers. Cut one border strip down to 4". Cut the other border strip down to 3 3/4". Distress the edges of both border strips. Ink the edges of both border strips using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the other cut apart paper, fussy cut the orange mushroom and the tall mushroom bunch. Cut the tall mushroom bunch apart. Ink the edges of all of the mushrooms using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Out of the Play In The Dirt Card Pack, you'll need the 3x4 card with the red and white mushroom on it. Fussy cut the mushroom out. Ink the edges of the mushroom using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Using the Ledger Stamp Set, choose the letters to spell out Happy Birthday. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the stamps and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Cut the two words into two word strips. Distress the edges of the word strips. Ink the edges of the word strips using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
