Today our design team member Karla Yungwirth is sharing a wonderful home decor project using the No Place Like Home collection. She did such a great job incorporating many Wild Whisper products into this unique project. Below is her process video and then we will let her take it away!
Hi crafty friends! It's Karla here today and I'm sharing a home decor project using the beautiful No Place Like Home collection. I picked up this fun double sided frame from IKEA recently and wanted to make a warm and welcoming project for my own home. Above is a look at the first side and, if I want to change things up, I simply turn it to the other side as seen below!
I layered this gorgeous 3x4 journaling card over a piece of the brick patterned paper cut to 4x6 and gathered up some embellishments to add. I grabbed some coordinating watercolour pencils and coloured in the awesome houses from the 12x12 paper before cutting them out and adding them to my project.
I love the beautiful designs included on the branding strips of the 12x12 papers, and used the "home sweet home" sentiment across the bottom of the frame. A few SpiegelMom Scraps sequins add the finishing touch!
I was so excited after finishing the first side that I couldn't wait to get started on the second! I layered another pretty 3x4 journaling card over a piece of patterned paper cut to 4x6 again as my base. This little card with the plant is so adorable!!
The only hard part was choosing which sweet teacup to use on my project ;) I chose the blue one and fussy cut it from the patterned paper. There are so many images to use from this collection- it's amazing!
I love the window images- also on one of the 12x12 papers, and added some fussy cut flowers and a cute heart sequin to create a little window box. An embossed wood veneer piece and some more goodies finish this side up along with another lovely strip of cute houses! Now I'm ready to sit down and snuggle up with a cup of tea and enjoy my cosy frame!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful week.
We love this project that Karla has shared and we just know it looks stunning in her home. If you would like to see more of her work, be sure to check out her blog, Instagram, and YouTube channel!
