Hello creative friends! On the blog today I am sharing a fun and colorful art journal project using several of the new Wild Whisper Designs collections.
In this mixed media project, I focused on using images from the Pour Decisions paper collection by Jenn Aguilar with the beautiful textured patterns from the Ledger and Script paper collection. As both these paper collections have beautiful, vibrant colors, they went together so well for this project.
I started this page by adding ink drips to the page. I then added layers of acrylic paint to the page through the Nicole Wright Designs Circlet and Disjointed Stencils.
I pieced together a sun shape using a circle and triangle shapes cut using patterns from my Brother ScanNCut. The Ledger and Script paper collection had the perfect textures and shading to make the sun pop.
My favorite part of this project was using glass bead gel, crackle accents and glossy accents to make the cocktails pop off the page. This added beautiful texture and some shine to these fun images.
To finish off this page, I used Posca paint pens to add doodling and journaling to the page.
What I love about this page is how paper, acrylic paints, mediums and inks can be used together to make a beautiful project. I wanted to show you specifically how these mediums can be used together in a cohesive way.
