Hello! Karla back today with a bright and colourful layout using the awesome NEW Adventure Collection! I decided to take a line that I would normally use for hiking, camping, and outdoor adventures and pair it would some cute photos of my youngest daughter at a local indoor play area. And believe me if you've ever been to one of these places - it can be pretty wild, lol! I decided to use the May Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge and cut the green paper at an angle, using the patterned branding strip along the long edge. I love the paint splattered look of this paper from the 12x12 Paper Pack!
Playing on that paint splatter idea, I decided to use some Distress Oxide Ink Sprays to smoosh green and blue mists onto a white background using a piece of plastic packaging. I simply dipped it into the mist I sprayed onto my Tim Holtz Glass Mat and smooshed it on the background, adding water and layers and drying in between until I was happy with it! I used my Cricut Maker to cut the Indoor title from one of the darker green and black patterned 12x12 papers and attached it curved over the stamped 'adventure' from the 4x6" Stamp Set.
I used various pieces of ephemera to add clusters around my page and even diecut the Wild circle from a journaling card that I used to layer my photo at the top right. I added another journaling card from the Card Pack, which matched perfectly with my run wild theme! I stamped the triangle motif at the bottom of the page and layered on a bear from the Ephemera Pack. I finished it off with a splattering of coordinating Sequins! I hope this gives you some ideas for using some of your papers in a non-traditional way - you could even document some of your Stay At Home adventures!!
