Here is Alexandria!
As soon as I opened my package of goodies, I knew which photo I wanted to scrap so I printed it in black and white and picked some pieces from my package I thought I might use. Three papers, the gold confetti hearts, small and large cork hearts and two of the 3x4 cards.
I decided to keep things simple so I went with the wood grain paper for my background. My photo blended a little more than I would have liked, so I gave it a white border with a scrap of white cardstock from my stash.
I pulled out another of the pattern papers, and my cat decided to join me. I trimmed the branding strip off the bottom of the branch paper while he held it down, and then kicked him out so I could dump out some of the hearts on my desk.
I pulled out the 3x4 & 4x6 journal cards that coordinate with the papers and decided to use the 4x6 card with the diamonds behind my photo instead of cutting up the full 12x12 page (my favourite). I also picked the 3x4 diamond card that says "two people two lifetimes one love" to put my journaling on.
I did cut down the other diamond pattern that I'd originally pulled out and layered it under the photo and the 4x6 card and added the branding strip from the branch paper along the bottom and the journal card on the right. Satisfied with my layers, I adhered everything down and added a few of the hearts.
I stitched down the cork hearts on the top left and added the gold confetti hearts to only the smaller hearts using glue dots (just cut them into 4 to make them small enough for the confetti). I added my journaling to the card on the right, and lightly stamped the date below the bottom edge and forgot to add it legibly somewhere. I'll go back and add it on the top right edge of the teal 4x6 card.
The rooted love collection is one that I can see popping up in several other projects for sure! It's so versatile that you can use it to document almost anything.
