Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! With all of these uncertain times right now, this sentiment on my It is Okay card really stood out to me and thought it would be perfect to send to someone in the mail to remind them that this will pass eventually. To create my card, you'll need the Strength of the Season Collection. Grab a cup of your favourite Springtime beverage and learn how to recreate my It is Okay Card at home.
To start, you'll need the orange flower paper from the Strength of the Season Paper pack and die cut a 4 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of the paper. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Next, you'll need the snowflake paper. Die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of the paper. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the leaf paper, die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottoms of the patterned paper. Cut one border strip down to 3 3/4". Cut the other border strip down to 3 1/2". Notch one of the edge on each of the border strips. Ink the edges of the border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the bee paper, fussy cut a small bee out. Ink the edges of the bee using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Strength of the Season Card pack, you'll need to fussy cut a bee, a sunflower and a branch. From the flower 4x6 card, you'll need to die cut a 3 1/4" Stitched Square. From the 3x4 "it is okay" card, you'll need to die cut a 2 3/4" Stitched Square. Distress the edges of the squares. Ink the edges of the fussy cut images and squares using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Out of the Strength of the Season Ephemera Pack, you'll need to fussy cut a bee, a leaf and the stack of cups. You'll also need the beauty rectangle. Distress the edges of the beauty rectangle. Ink the edges of the fussy cut images and rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose one of the Strength of the Season Flair.
Adhere the 4" rectangle to the 4 1/2" rectangle. Adhere the 3 1/2" rectangle to the 4" rectangle.
Adhere the "it is okay" square to the flower square. Foam square the flower square 1 1/8" from the top and 1/4" from the right of the 4 1/2" rectangle. Adhere the 3 3/4" border strip 1 1/2" from the bottom and 1/4" from the right of the 4 1/2" rectangle. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the 3 1/2" border strip 1" from the bottom and 1/4" from the right of the 4 1/2" rectangle.
Foam square the Beauty rectangle 3/4" from the top and 1" from the right of the 4 1/2" rectangle. Adhere the medium sized bee to the top right corner of the squares. The bee will sit beside the beauty rectangle. Roll up the wings on the bee to give it dimension.
Adhere the branch to the middle of the where the border strips join. Adhere the large bee 3/4" from the bottom and 1 1/2" from the left of the 4 1/2" rectangle. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the stacked tea cups 1 5/8" from the top and 1/2" from the left of the 4 1/2" rectangle. Adhere the small bee slightly underneath the top of the stacked tea cups.
Adhere the leaf bunch to the bottom left of the stacked tea cups. The leaves will sit over the edge of the 4 1/2" rectangle. Foam square the sunflower overtop of the leaves and bee. Adhere the flair button to the middle of the sunflower. Roll the edges of the sunflower as desired to give it some extra dimension.
To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 3/4" x 9", score at 4 1/2". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
