Hello again!!!  Let me tell you about this layout, what a journey!  I love the colours in the More Adventures collection and I can't help but want them all on each layout I make, so for this one, I decided to use a sketch that I posted in my local scrapbooking group, as a challenge for the month of January.

The sketch offered me the opportunity to use several of the patterns (and colours) from the collection and I thought it would be fun to work with.  Well, let me tell you, this ended up looking completely different than I expected, but in the end, I think it all came together and it was a lot of fun to make!

I used some Faber-Castel whipped spackle on the background to mimic the snow from the pictures I chose.  Once it was dried I used the smooshing technique with some blue Recollections spray mist and some Jane Davenport watercolour, and splatter the colour around a little as well.  I followed the sketch fairly closely but used bigger pictures, and added more embellishment than the sketch had.  I followed the diagonal line of the pictures to add some Evalicious puffy stickers, wood veneer, and flair, from their On Our Way collection.  I used a die cut of  mountains, and fussy cut one of the More Adventures cards of the mountains with a quote, to emphasize that the pictures took place in the mountains.

Even though I had a sketch to follow, I really struggled to find the right place to put everything.  I fussed around with the placement of the pictures, the size of the papers I cut, the position of the mountain die cuts and the card that I fussy cut.  I added some extra paper layers, using the branding strips of the papers I used, because I felt there needed to be more colour, I chose not to use a big title because I felt it would be too busy, and eventually I got to a point where I liked it... and then, after taking the pictures, writing my blog post, and editing the process video... I moved things around, lol. They are subtle changes, but I feel much better with the layout now.  Have you ever gone back and changed a layout after you thought you were done with it?  Let us know in the comments below!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next week, Happy Scrapping!
