Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! For today's post, I created this Joy Tag. To create my tag, I've used Nicole Wright Designs Baubles & Bows Paper Pack and Baubles n' Bits Stamp Set as well as the Back to the Basics - Capital Letter Stamp Set. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Joy Tag at home.
To start, you'll need a 3 1/8" x 6 1/4" tag. From the Baubles & Bows Paper Pack, you'll need the dot paper. Trace the tag around the dot paper and cut the paper tag out. Distress the edges of the paper tag.
From the paper pack, you'll need the green/red plaid paper, snowflake paper and black star paper. Cut a piece out of the snowflake paper that measures 2 7/8" x 5 1/2". Cut a piece out of the green/red plaid paper that measures 2 5/8" x 5 1/4". Cut a piece of black star paper that measures 1 1/2" x 5 1/4". Distress the edges of all of the papers.
Next, you'll need the paper that has the cat on it. Colour the cat using scribble sticks and a waterbrush in Umber, Ruby, Blushing, Evergreen and Ocean. Once the cat has dried, fussy cut the cat out.
Fussy cut three snowflakes out of the snowflake paper.
Next, you'll need the present stack stamp out of the Baubles n' Bits Stamp Set. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Colour the presents using scribble sticks and a waterbrush in the following colours - Ruby, Tangerine, Lemon, Evergreen and Ocean. Once dry, fussy cut the presents out.
From the Back to Basics - Capital Letter Stamp Set you'll need the J, O and Y. Apply Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink to the letters and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Fussy cut the letters out.
Adhere the paper tag to the tag.
Adhere the snowflake paper to the tag. Adhere the green/red plaid paper to the snowflake paper. Adhere the star paper 1/4" from the right of the green/red plaid paper.
Foam square the cat to the right hand side of the tag as desired. Adhere the three snowflakes around the cat as desired.
Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the present stack to the bottom left of the cat. Adhere the Joy word to the top left portion of the tag as desired. To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine through the hole.
