Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm back on the blog today sharing my Just Breathe Tag which features the brand new Life isn't Perfect Collection. The Life isn't perfect collection is becoming one of my new favourites as there are so many different uses for it. To create my tag, I've used a variety of the papers from the paper pack as well as the coordinating Flair. Grab a comfy seat and a cup of your favourite winter beverage as I will walk you through how to recreate my tag at home.
To start, you'll need the heart paper from the paper pack. Trace a tag onto the piece of patterned paper. Cut the patterned paper tag out. Distress the edges of the tag and cut out patterned paper tag. Ink the edges of both tags using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Cut a piece of the splat paper that measures 2 7/8" x 5 5/8". Using a paint brush, paint on Paper Artsy Fresco Chalk Finish Acrylic Paint in Spanish Mulberry down the middle of the patterned paper piece. Once the paint has dried, distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the cut apart paper, you'll need to fussy cut the frames and Just Breathe out. Cut out the umbrella square, cut the yellow square with seen better days in the middle down to 2" x 2" and cut the Life's Perfect saying down to 2 1/2" x 3". Distress the edges of all the pieces. Ink the edges of all of the pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the orange umbrella paper, cut two pieces that measures 2" x 1". Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Umbrella paper, fussy cut out a purple umbrella. Ink the edges of the umbrella using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose three border strips. Cut the first border strip down to 2 7/8". Cut the second border strip down to 2 5/8". Cut the third border strip down to two pieces, 1 - 2" and the 2 - 1 3/4". Distress the edges of all four border strips. Ink the edges of the border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose one Flair button from the package.
Adhere the patterned paper tag to the tag. Adhere the paint splatter paper to the tag. Adhere the 2" border strip 1 1/8" from the top and 1/2" from the left of the tag. Adhere the 1 3/4" border strip 7/8" from the bottom and 7/8" from the left of the tag. Adhere one umbrella paper 1 3/8" from the top and 1/2" from the left of the tag. Adhere the other umbrella paper 1 1/4" from the bottom and 1/2" from the left of the tag.
Foam square the 2 1/2" rain paper overtop of the umbrella papers. Foam square the frame image to the middle of the rain paper. Adhere the 2" seen better days square to the middle of the frame. Adhere the umbrella square slightly overtop of the seen better days square.
Adhere the umbrella to the middle of the layered squares. Foam square the just breathe saying overtop of the umbrella. Adhere the 2 7/8" border strip 1 5/8" from the bottom and all the way to the right hand side of the tag. Adhere the 2 5/8" border strip 1 3/8" from the bottom and all the way to the right hand side of the tag. Adhere the flair button 3/4" from the bottom and all the way to the right hand side of the tag.
Punch a whole at the top of your tag. Tie a piece of white ribbon through the hole at the top of the tag. To finish off your tag, splatter white ink over top of the tag.
