Hello! It's Karla here today with a double page layout using the Wild Whisper World's Best collection. This is such a great combination of Mother's Day and Father's Day papers that can also be used for pretty spring projects and coordinates with the previous Wild Whisper collections wonderfully!
For my first page I pulled a coordinating piece of cardstock from my stash to use as a background. I love that I can check the branding strip to quickly see all the colours that match the papers in the pack! Then I layered on burlap cut into banner shapes, using Suzanna Lee's sketch from NSD as a guide.
I used some Archival Ink to stamp right onto my photo - this sentiment from the World's Best Stamp Set is one of my favourites!
These cutfiles are from the Wild Whisper store, and I layered them on my page as part of my title - popping up the top word and embellishing with sequins and Heart Cork Confetti.
I added another cutfile and more sequins in the top left corner. I love how the leaves perfectly match the patterned paper and stamp image!
On my second page I used the same colour background paper and layered on a large rectangle of the lock and key paper, edged with Distress Ink.
I layered a fussy cut keyhole image from the patterned papers and used a light grey ink to stamp a key and keyhole images directly on my background.
The detailed large key image was fun to heat emboss on black cardstock with Northern Lights Embossing Powder. Tucked behind the fussy cut lock image, these make great handmade embellishments!
The pretty loopy stitch adds detail along the top and bottom edges, and the Wood Veneer Key adds a neat texture.
