Hi friends!
I am super excited to be back today sharing a layout that I created using some of my absolute favorite Wild Whisper paper from the Media Assemblage collection by Nicole Wright. I loved creating a bright fun layout to match with photo of my husband and son being a little crazy!
I started off by cutting the patterned paper down to a 9x9 square and putting it on black cardstock. I then used one of the strips I had cut off to create the border on the right by simply flipping the paper over to the other side. I love this easy look because it makes it look like I did a lot of work to create coordinating patterned papers!
I then added some stamping to the background with the palm leaf stamp. This was fun because I stamped in green and then colored the centers with gold paint marker to help them stand out and match my embellishments. I built a fun title that would overlap my photo and still maintain the diagonal flow of the layout.
Lastly, I added a few puffy circles and words as well as some gold mini puffy stickers embellishments to tie everything together. I absolutely love creating a fun, easy to make layout that looks like I put in a lot of complicated mixed media work. What a bonus! This collection from Nicole Wright is seriously so perfect for creating those amazing mixed media looks without any of the mess! Totally my jam! I finished everything off with a little bit of gold paint pen detailing around the edges of the 9x9 square to just tie it all together. Do you ever use paint pens on your layouts?
