Maritime Layout by Karla

Hello friends! Karla here today with a Maritime Layout using a photo of my oldest daughter Stephanie, when she was 11 on the Halifax waterfront. I lived in Nova Scotia at that time and we made many trips to the waterfront on weekends to enjoy all the activities and scenery. The Road Trip collection was just perfect to document this photo - as soon as I saw the lighthouse card and ephemera I knew I wanted to use it like this!

I started out by using the September Sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and used the License Plate Stamp Set to create a title. I absolutely love this set!! You can fill the license plate stamp with the letters from the set to create any kind of fun title or embellishment for your projects. I love that the Canadian Provinces are included in the stamps. I used Pineapple Paradise and Pine Dreams Embossing Powders from Wild Whisper for the license plate and some Silver Nuvo Crystal Drops to embellish the screws.

I used two journaling cards from the Card Pack and added some geotags from the Ephemera Pack and coordinating sequins.

I added a bit of Distress Oxide Ink to a Southern Ridge Trading Company Fish Net Stencil and pressed it onto the vanilla cardstock before adding my cluster of embellishments. The seashell, again from Southern Ridge, was embossed with Blue Island Slush and Pineapple Paradise Embossing Powders.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to use the code DTKARLA to save 10% in the Wild Whisper Shop and have an awesome day!
