Katelyn Grosart is back with another amazing photo tutorial for her altered frame. We love how she fussy-cut images from the paper and cards to create embellishments for this lovely piece. Enjoy the tutorial, Katelyn will take it from here!
Hey Wild Whisper Fans! Katelyn here and I’m back today sharing my More Adventures Altered Frame. This altered frame, featuring the More Adventures collection, is perfect to add to any area of your house or give it as a gift. You’ll want to make sure to go grab a cup of your favourite beverage as I take you through how to recreate my More Adventures Altered Frame at home.
To start, you'll need to grab a frame that has a 4x6 opening. With the frame in front of you, take out the glass.Next, you'll need to select one of the 4x6 cards from the More Adventures Card Pack that you'd like to use inside of the frame. Take out five of the More Adventures Triangle Wood Veneers from the package. Using a blending tool with foam and Black Soot Distress Ink, ink the entire surface of each of the triangles. Take one of the More Adventures Arrow Wood Veneers out of the package.Cut three small banners out of three different pieces from the More Adventures Paper Pack. Ink the edges of the banners using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. From the More Adventures Patterned Paper piece that has all the images, cut out the large leaves, the trailer, the small green wood circle and the climb and adventure signs. Ink the edges of all the fussy cut images using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. Place the 4x6 card inside the frame. Put the back of the frame back on.In the top right hand side of the 4x6 card, adhere the three banners. On the left hand side of the 4x6 card, randomly place and adhere the five triangles. In the bottom left hand corner of the frame, adhere the large leaf, the small green wood circle and the climb sign.Foam square the trailer slightly on top of the climb sign and the small green wood circle. Adhere the adventure sign to the right of the trailer. To finish off the frame, adhere the arrow in the bottom middle portion of the trailer. Here are a few close up shots of my completed More Adventures Altered Frame.
