Nathalie shares Christmas with Cut-files!

Christmas is growing closer every day! We can't believe that it is just around the corner! Here in Calgary we are getting a big dump of snow, so it will be a white Christmas after all, which many are happy to see. To go along with this wonderful time of year, Nathalie DeSousa is sharing her latest project with us! It will be her last with our team as she continues on her creative journey and we wish her all the best! Nathalie will take it from here!

Hi There! Nathalie here with a new project filled with lots of Christmas twinkle and shine, and of course the beautiful Home for the Holidays collection.

For this project, I wanted to bring lots of sparkle to the page, so the background was sprayed with gold ink, and lots of iridescent inks that match the colors of the collection.   There is even a few stars, which were stamped using the star cluster image from the Home for the Holidays stamp set.

To create all the hanging ornaments,  I pulled a Paige Evans design from the Silhouette store, cut it from white cardstock, and backed the empty spaces with papers, and journal cards from the Home for the Holidays collection.

To add interest and texture to the ornaments, a few lines of hand stitching were added as part of the decoration in the bulbs. Also I fussy cut some stars from the papers and then glued them as to create a design in one of the bulbs.

To bring in the colors of the collection, a few of the journal cards from the collection were added as layers behind the picture. Then I popped the picture on the page with a bit of foam adhesive.

Though there is a lot of sparkle in the background, I added a few more chipboard stars that were embossed with gold and rose gold powder (I had been hoarding these stars from the store for that special project, and it finally got to use them!)

The title of this page was also created using the same colors of embossing powder, but use the stamp set to create the words JOYFUL twice on vellum, and one of the wood veneer hearts -also from the store-.

To finish the page, a few sentiments were stamped around the page from the Home for the Holidays stamp set, and I used one of the sequin mixes to just add those final sparkling touches.

I love how this  page looks, though it is hard to show you the shine of the gold splatters on the picture. All the papers and images from the Home for the Holidays collection and stamp are perfect to document this festive season.

Before I go, I just want to take this space to thank Suzy and Heather for having me as part of their 1st design team. It truly has been a pleasure to work with their product and to get to know them. Thank you ladies, and keep producing more beautiful collections!

It has been a blast bringing you some inspiration using the Wild Whisper products, thank for your support.  You can always contact and follow me through my social media outlets.
