Hey friends!
Sometimes, I just need a really quick and easy card to jazz up a gift a bit. Last weekend, I had a baby shower to attend and wanted the card to be something a little more special than I could get with a store bought card. This was SO easy to put together and it even has an adorable matching envelope. Using the Little One collection from Wild Whisper totally made this so adorable and everyone fell in love!
I started with a square card base and envelope because that is just my favorite size to work with when wrapping gifts. I used the Camp More Worry Less Background Stencil (the stars and moons) with an ink pad to create a foundation. I then used a gold paint pen to add some extra detail around some of the stars, with some dots, and with some dashed pen detailing around the edge. I used this same technique on the front of the envelope as well.
I then used a few of the Sweet Little One die cuts to create a scene. The hello banner was placed on foam and I also used a little trick and took my scissors and cut the pieces between the banner elements a little bigger so that they would look like they were waving in the breeze. I then placed the outfit on foam and cut two little slits in the outfit. I used a piece of fine twine and bent it into a hanger shape and then inserted it into those slits to finish off the look and add some texture to the card.
On the envelope, I added the same details as with the card base and then put the "it's a boy" die cut on there as well. In order to carry over the metallic element from the card, I added the same gold paint pen details and then inserted a tiny safety pin in the front of the diaper die cut. I just love how something so little and simple can add so much! And that's it....a quick and easy baby card with a matching envelope sure to dress up your next gift!
