Hello again! A few weeks ago, I shared a layout I created for my "December Details" album (seen here), and today I'm sharing another. If you remember much about that layout, you'll notice the two are meant to coordinate.
I began with my white cardstock and used the same paint I used on the previous layout to create a little interest on the background. But this time I knew I wanted my focus to be on that gorgeous paper from the "Home for the Holidays" collection. I cut it down to be about half the size of the white cardstock, and adhered it to the background. I then found some plain tan paper for the "Christmas" stamp to make sure it popped off the page well. I said it before and I'll say it again, I love that stamp set sooo much! Above it I added "very merry" and thought it was the perfect balance.
One of my favorite products from the Wild Whisper store is that chipboard star. I've used it on so many layouts! While it's no longer in stock, you can use this technique on a number of wood veneer products in the shop. I simply chose a festive colored twine and wrapped it tightly around one side, adding a dab of hot glue on the bottom to make sure it was secure. I love it so much! It adds a fun layering element to the page.
I finished this page off with a few more stamps from the collection, and a piece of washi from my stash. I also wanted to tuck a little piece of the gorgeous leaf patterned paper underneath my picture - and then I was finished.
I hope you'll find a piece of chipboard or wood veneer and wrap some twine around it! Yay!
