I'm a Calgary Girl by Linda
Hi everyone! I have been very nostalgic this past week, and as I was going through some old photos from my childhood, I found one of myself shortly after I was born. Since I was born in Calgary, I started to think about how I could use this photo with the City Lights collection. I decided to start a mini family album about my childhood and thought my birth would be a good beginning! This page measures 6" wide x 8" tall. I find that making smaller pages like this are a good way to use up scraps! This sketch...
Illuminasia by Linda
Hi everyone, I'm here today with a two page layout that I did using Creative Scrapbooker's June Sketchy Challenge. The word pages were cut 9x12, the green photo mats were 4.5x4.5, the blue mats were 4x4, and the photos are 3.5x3.5. I used word strips at the top and bottom of the word pages, and the title was cut out on my cricut. In 2015 the Calgary Zoo hosted the Illuminasia Lantern & Garden Festival that featured 366 handmade Chinese lanterns. It was incredibly beautiful and the City Lights paper collection was perfect to highlight all the amazing colours. I...
City Lights Layout With Sara Scraps
Hello Hello! Happy Monday! Sara here today to share my firstlayout using June's colorful and vibrant City Lights collection! This collection is perfect for bright, summer photos, so that's where I went looking first in my pictures! I chose a photo of my youngest son in front of a local mural with my town's name. This had an urban feel I knew I could play up with the City Lights collection! I chose to create my own background fo the page using a sunburst stencil and some white cardstock. Neon Lights Tag by Katelyn
Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm thrilled to be on the blog today sharing with you a new project featuring the awesome new City Lights collection. To create my Neon Lights Tag, I've used the Paper Pack and Flair from the collection. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home. To start, you'll need a 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" black tag. From Tim Holtz's Cityscape, Skyline die, die cut one of the city lines out of black cardstock. Trim the city line down to 4". Round the bottom corners of the...
My Home by Linda Pekrul
Hi everyone! It's great to be back with a new project for Wild Whisper this month AND a new paper collection "City Lights"! This week's creation was inspired by all the flowers and beautiful gardens that I am seeing everywhere. I chose to use a photo of my front yard for the layout. About 4 years ago I removed all the grass in the front and planted shrubs and flowers instead. I have never regretted it! I love all the colour and variety and the birds and squirrels seem to too! I sat and did a lot of fussy...
