Fall Sunflowers by Linda
Hi everyone! I was playing with the Strength of the Season stamp set again this week, and ended up creating a card that is a personal favorite of mine. I have to admit though, it seemed to take me longer to photograph it than it did to create it! For some reason it was hard to capture the true colours of the card and the glitter on the sunflowers and pine cones that is so pretty in real life! You can see a bit of it in this side-shot below. I zoomed in on the sunflowers to share a close-up...
Back to School Bookmarks by Linda
Send your kids Back to School with bookmarks made especially for them! First... who said bookmarks have to be small???? I used my Pinkfresh slim dies to make these bookmarks, and let me tell you, the kids aren't going to lose these ones! LOL The largest one is 4.25" x 9"! I made this first bookmark for my granddaughter who is devoted to her cat Ginger. The paper collection and ephemera pack used for this is the ever-so-cute Happy Tails. To make the tassel, I followed this tutorial. I also followed the youtube below to tie the tassel together tightly without...
Smile At People
Hi everyone! Welcome back to the Wild Whisper Blog! For my project today, I used two paper collections: "Sassy Since Birth" and Nicole Wright's "Fanciful Florals". Below is the bottom layer of my layout. I always "eyeball" my pieces when I'm gluing them down, and as you can see, this time I was a little off and my mat is on the page crooked. To fix that, I decided to tilt my photo when I added it to the page and that draws your eye away from my original error. If you haven't seen the "Sassy Since Birth" collection, there...
Christmas Coffee Tin by Linda
Hi Everyone! My project today is a continuation of Karla's Christmas in July theme! You can see her project that uses the same piece of Sensations paper here. We both instantly thought of Christmas when we saw this sheet! I chose to upcycle a coffee tin and turn it into a beautiful container. This container could act as a gift box, or it could sit on your counter at Christmas time and hold gift tags, tape, stamps, etc. I also found that it holds a dozen or more A2 size cards, so if you're a cardmaker, and you like to gift...
Adventure Masculine Cards
Hi everyone, Linda here. I'm hoping to help you out with one of the biggest stumbling blocks for card makers... masculine cards! Am I right??? Wild Whisper's Adventure collection makes it easy for you! To make this set of four cards, I used the card pack, the ephemera pack, sequins and a few flair buttons. I always use 110# cardstock for the card base, and I popped up the focal images on each card. This first card is my favorite of the four, because I just love this bear. Card number 2 is one that I thought would make a...
