Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing my Warm Winter Wishes Christmas Card perfect to give as your Christmas Card this year. To create my card, you'll need the Winter & Christmas Collection by Pam Bray. Grab a cup of your favourite Christmas beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, choose two of the patterned papers from the collection. From one of the patterned papers, die cut a 5 1/4" Stitched Square. From the other patterned paper, die cut a 4 3/4" Stitched Square. Distress the edges of each square. Ink the edges of each square using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3/4" Dashing Banner out of white cardstock. Cut the banner down to 4". Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the Warm Winter Wishes sentiment from the Canadian Winter Stamp set and stamp onto the banner. Distress the edges of the banner. Ink the edges of the banner using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the backside of the fly sheet, die cut a 1 1/4" Dashing Banner. Cut the banner down to 4 3/8". Distress the edges of the banner. Ink the edges of the banner using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the backside of the same fly sheet, die cut three berry bunches from the Holiday Greens Mini set. Ink the edges of the berry bunches using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Holiday Greens die, choose three of the greens and die cut them out of white cardstock. On two of the greens, use a blending tool with foam to blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface. On the other green, use a blending tool with foam to blend Shabby Shutters Distress Ink over the entire surface. Ink the edges of all three greens using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the 4 3/4" square to the 5 1/4" square.
On the left hand side of the 4 3/4" square, adhere the three berry bunches and the three greens as desired.
Adhere the Warm Winter Wishes banner to the red banner. Use foam squares to adhere the red banner 1/8" from the bottom and all the way to the left hand edge of the 4 3/4" square. Cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2", score at 5 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
To finish the card, splatter Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain over the card as desired.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
