Warm Wishes Card by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm thrilled to be back on the blog today sharing my Warm Wishes Birthday Card perfect to give to that special little man in your life. To create my card, you'll need the Child at Heart Collection. Grab a cup of your favourite Fall beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, die cut a 5 1/4" Dashing Square out of the Arrow patterned paper. Flip the patterned paper over and die cut two Stitched Fishtails out of the paper. Distress the edges of the squares. Ink the edges of the squares and two banners using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the X's patterned paper, die cut the 4 3/4" Dashing Square out of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 4 1/4" Dashing Square out of the Star patterned paper. Distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottom of the patterned papers. Cut one border strip to 4 3/4" and cut the other border strip to 4 1/2". Ink the edges of both border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the cut apart paper, fussy cut the turquoise controller and the arrow square. Die cut a Stitched Fishtail out of the backside of the cut apart patterned paper. Distress the edges of the controller and square. Ink the edges of the controller, square and banner using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Child at Heart Ephemera, you'll need two arrows, the controller, the grey circle and the raising children square. Fussy cut the arrows and controller out. As well fussy cut around the grey circle. Distress the edges of the circle and the square. Ink the edges of the circle, square, two arrows and controller using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Out of the Child at Heart Card pack, you'll need the green card, the x's card, the triangle card, the arrow card and the 4 1/4" arrow card. From the 4 1/4" arrow card, cut out the 5 1/4" square. Cut the triangle card down to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". Cut the green card to 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and 3/8" x 2 1/2".  Cut the X's card to 2 3/4" x 2 1/2" and 3/8" x 2 3/4". Fussy cut one arrow from the arrow card. Distress the edges of all the pieces except the arrow. Ink the edges of all the pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose on of the Child at Heart Flair Buttons.
The last thing you'll need to do is stamp the sentiment. From the Canadian Winter Stamp set, you'll need the warm winter wishes sentiment. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the sentiment and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Cut the warm and wishes into two strips. Distress the edges of each strip. Ink the edges of each strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the blue arrow 5 1/2" square to the right hand side of the green arrow 5 1/2" square. Foam square the X's 4 3/4" square to the middle of the 5 1/2" square. Adhere the star square to the X's square.
Adhere the 4 3/4" border strip 1" from the bottom and all the way to the right hand side of the X's square. Adhere the 4 1/2" border strip 5/8" from the bottom and all the way to the right hand side of the X's square. Adhere the turquoise controller 1/2" from the top and right to the right hand side of the X's square. Adhere the 3/8" X's strip 3/4" from the top and 1 1/4" from the left of the X's square. Adhere the 3/8" triangle strip 1" from the top and 1" from the left of the X's square.
Adhere the green card to the triangle card. Foam square the triangle card 1/2" from the top and 3/8" from the right of the X's square. Adhere the x's piece to the arrow square. Use foam squares to adhere the arrow square 7/8" from the top and 1/4" from the right of the X's square.
Foam square the blue square to the middle of the black x's square. Adhere the circle to the blue square. Use thin foam squares to adhere the controller to the middle of the black x's square. Adhere the warm wishes sentiment strips to the middle of the controller.
Adhere the arrows below the controller as desired. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the flair button to the bottom right hand side of the arrow square.
In the top left corner of the card, adhere the three banners. To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2", score at 5 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
