Wishes Birthday Card by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you a new project that features the Talk Foodie To Me collection. To create my Wishes Birthday Card, I've used the Paper Pack, Ephemera and Flair from the collection as well as the Christmas Comfort Stamp Set. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.
To start, you'll need the watermelon paper. Cut a piece that measures 3 3/4" x 5". Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the hexagon patterned paper, you'll need to cut two pieces. The first piece measures 4" x 5 1/4". The second piece measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Ink the edges of both papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Mason jar patterned paper, cut a piece that measures 3 1/8" x 4 1/8". Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Card Pack, you'll need the card with the circle on it and the card with a blank label. Fussy cut the label out of the card. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Wishes stamp out of the Christmas Comfort Stamp Set and stamp onto the label. Ink the edges of the circle card and the label using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottom of the patterned papers. Cut one border strip to 4" and the second border strip to 3 3/4". Ink the edges of the border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Ephemera package, you'll need two pineapples, a peach and the green label. Fussy cut the two pineapples and peach out. Ink the edges of the pineapples, peach and green labels using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Flair package, choose one Flair button.
Adhere the watermelon patterned paper on an angle to the large honeycomb patterned paper piece. Adhere the fruit patterned paper to the watermelon patterned paper.
Adhere the circle card to the mason jar patterned paper. Adhere the green label to the right hand side of the mason jar paper. Foam square the mason jar patterned paper to the left hand side of the fruit patterned paper, making sure there is an even amount showing at the top and bottom.
Adhere the 4" border strip 1" from the bottom and all the way to the left hand side of the honeycomb paper. Adhere the 3 3/4" border strip 5/8" from the bottom and all the way to the left hand side of the honeycomb paper. Use adhesive and foam square to adhere the two pineapples and peaches to the left hand side of the circle card. Adhere the wishes label 7/8" from the bottom and 5/8" from the right of the honeycomb patterned paper. Adhere the flair button overtop the left hand side of the wishes label. To finish the card, cut a cardbase that measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
