xoxo Gift Tag by Katelyn

Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! It's hard to believe that Valentine's Day is only four days away. So for today's post, I thought it would be fun to create this xoxo gift tag which is perfect to add to a Valentine's Day gift. To create my gift tag, I've used the 4x6 Stamp Sets from the Floral and Happy Tails Collections along with the Brush Script Stamp Set. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my gift tag at home.
To start, you'll need a 2 1/4" white tag.
From the Happy Tails 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the two hearts. Apply Candied Apple Distress Ink to one of the hearts and stamp on the tag as desired. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. Apply Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to the other heart and stamp on the tag as desired. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed.
Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Cut a white doily in half. You'll only use one of the halves of the doily.
From the Brush Letters Stamp Set, you'll need the x and o letters. Apply Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to the X and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock.  Apply Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to the O and stamp beside the X.  Apply Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to the X and stamp beside the O.  Apply Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to the O and stamp beside the X. Fussy cut the xoxo sentiment out. Ink the edges of the sentiment using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Floral 4x6 Stamp Set, you'll need the single flower bunch and the double flower bunch. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the both stamps and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Colour the stamped flower images in using a waterbrush and Scribble Sticks Set 1 & 2. Once the colour has dried, fussy cut the flowers out. Ink the edges of the flowers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the half doily to the left hand side of the tag.
Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the single and double flower bunches to the left hand side of the tag on top of the doily as desired.
Use a mini stapler to attach the xoxo sentiment to the bottom right hand side of the tag.
To finish the tag, tie a piece of white twine through the top of the tag.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished gift tag.
