Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! For today's post, I created this You Belong Among the Wildflowers Gift Tin. To create my gift tin, I've used the Play In The Dirt Collection. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my gift tin at home.
To start, you'll need a 5 1/2" x 5" tin.
Out of the Play in The Dirt 12x12 Paper Pack, you'll need the flower paper. Cut a piece that measures 5" x 4 1/2". Round all four corners. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Next you'll need the woodgrain paper. Cut one piece that measures 4 3/4" x 4 1/4". Cut a second piece that measures 5" x 4 1/2". Round all four corners of both pieces. Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the diamond paper, cut a piece that measures 4 1/2" x 4". Round all four corners. Ink the edges of the corners using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Cut a piece from the plant pot paper that measures 5 1/4" x 4 1/2". Round all four corners. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From one of the cut apart papers, fussy cut the green butterfly out. Ink the edges of the butterfly using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose a border strip from the bottom of one of the papers. Cut the border strip down to 4 5/8". Ink the edges of the border strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the leaf paper, cut two pieces that measure 1/2" x 12. Fussy cut a red butterfly out from the other side of the paper. Ink the edges of the two strips and the butterfly using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Play in the Dirt Card Pack, you'll need the leaf and the flowers 3x4 cards. Cut the leaf card down to 2 3/4" wide. From the flower card, cut the saying out first. From the remainder of the card, you'll need a piece that measures 3/4" x 2 1/2". Ink the edges of all three pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Out of the House Plant Edition Ephemera, you'll need the three leaves and white flower. Fussy cut around the flower and the three leaves. Ink the edges of all the pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Out of the Garden Edition Ephemera, you'll need the two yellow butterflies and yellow flower. Fussy cut around the flower and the one butterfly that isn't cut out. Ink the edges of all the pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
To start, adhere one of the leaf strips starting at the back bottom portion of the tin. Adhere the other leaf strip to cover the remaining portion of the bottom of the tin.
Adhere the flower paper to the top of the tin. Adhere the smaller piece of woodgrain paper to the flower paper. Foam square the diamond paper to the woodgrain paper.
Adhere the flower strip without the saying 3/8" from the right and 1/4" from the top of the leaf card. Adhere the leaf card 3/8" from the left and 7/8" from the right of the diamond paper. Adhere the border strip 3/8" from the bottom and all the way to the left hand side of the diamond paper. Foam square the You Belong saying 5/8" from the bottom and 1 7/8" from the left of the diamond paper.
Adhere the large leaf and one of the other leaves to the top portion of the leaf card. Adhere the other leaf to the bottom left of the large leaf. Adhere the yellow flower to the bottom left corner of the diamond paper. Foam square the white flower overtop of where the leaves meet.
Adhere the butterflies as desired on the top of the tin.
Open the tin up. Adhere the plant paper to the top inside of the tin. Adhere the larger wood grain piece to the bottom inside of the tin.
