Hey Wild Whisper Fans, Katelyn here! I'm thrilled to be back on the blog today sharing with you my newest project that features the Talk Foodie to Me collection. By using the paper pack, Ephemera Pack, Card Pack and stamp set from the Talk to Me Foodie collection, they were perfect for creating my Yum Scrapbook Layout. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite summer beverage and learn how to recreate my layout at home.
To start, you'll need a piece of 12" x 12" white cardstock. Ink the edges of the white cardstock using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the rum patterned paper, die cut a 3 1/2" Square out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the mason jar patterned paper, die cut a 3 1/2" Square out of the patterned paper. Flip the paper over and cut out eighteen hexagons. Ink the edges of the square and hexagons using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two border strips from the bottom of the patterned papers. Cut one border strip down to 8". Cut the other border strip down to 7".
Ink the edges of the border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Ephemera pack, you'll need the Nom, eat local, foodie, hungry and rum rectangle. You'll also need the yellow/black label. Apply Jet black Archival Ink to the Yum word from the Stamp set and stamp onto the yellow/black label. Ink the edges of all of the rectangles and label using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Card pack, fussy cut the label out of one of the cards. Ink the edges of the label using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Lastly, you'll need eight yellow sequins.
On the middle right hand side of the 12x12 white cardstock piece, adhere all eighteen hexagons as desired.
Adhere one of the photos to the 3 1/2" square. Adhere the other photo to the other 3 1/2" square. Adhere the 8" border strip 2 3/4" from the bottom and 3 3/8" from the right of the white cardstock piece. Adhere the 7" border strip 2 3/8" from the bottom and 3 3/8" from the right of the white cardstock piece. Foam square one of the 3 1/2" squares 3 1/2" from the right and 3" from the bottom of the white cardstock piece. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the other 3 1/2" square 2" from the bottom and 2 1/8" from the left of the white cardstock piece.
To the left of the top photo on your layout, use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the foodie, Nom and hungry to the left of the photo. The words will sit slightly overtop of the photo. Adhere two sequins to the top left side of the top photo. Adhere three sequins to the bottom right of the hexagons.
In the top left corner of the white cardstock piece, adhere the rum rectangle 1 1/8" from the top and 1/8" from the left of the white cardstock piece. Foam square the blue label to the middle of the rum rectangle. Adhere the eat local strip to the middle of the blue label. Adhere one sequin to the bottom left side of the blue label. Adhere two sequins to the top right side of the blue label.
