Scrapbook Layout and Stamping Fun WIth Sara Scraps
Hello Hello! I have a new layout to share with you today using the fabulous Palm Pardise collection! I pulled out my favorie summer photo of my youngest from this past summer, and paired it with the NEW Alphabt stamps that will be released Dec. 1....unless you were able to snap up a set at a show earlier this year. The oranges in the collection matched the orange in my son's swim shirt perfectly...but oranges and swimming pools seemed a stretch so I used some circle dies to create orange patterns instead of...oranges... at least, that was the plan... I started by picking out some mixed media items that fit the color scheme of the papers from the Palm Paradise collection. I used some bright pink paint from Shimmerz and a yellow paste from Shimmerz. I simple smeared the pink paint mixed with water across my gessoed background. Once the pink was dry, I used an Echo Park leaf stencil with the yellow paste. While that...
The Ballet by Jenn
Hello, Jenn here! Happy Release Day!!! I always get so excited for the first of the month when the new collection comes out. Check out this gorgeous tropical-themed collection for the month of November. Palm Paradise is such a fun, bright, and beautiful collection. I will admit, this one did make me think a little bit, though. I don't really have any tropical pictures to scrap, I haven't been on a hot tropical vacation, or live on a tropical island... BUT November in Alberta is usually cold, dark, and drab, so this is the perfect time of year to play...
