Celebrate by Emily
Hello everyone and happy August! Today I have a Traveler's Notebook spread. The photo I used was from last year's 4th of July celebration so I decided to do a fun festive layout. I chose to use the bunting paper and journaling card from Forever and Always. This is a wedding collection so a layout like this would be really cute for anything wedding related, but I also think you can use it for birthdays or anything else you're celebrating! I fussy cut the bunting paper and arranged sections on one side of the notebook. I decided to back my...
Lake Life by Jenn
Hello, Jenn here with the new July collection Lake Life. It's gorgeous if I do say so myself :) I grew up in Ontario, lived on a lake, swam in the lake, played by the lake, and definitely enjoyed the lake life, so I couldn't wait to dig into this collection!!! Since I'm still working away on my trip album, I pulled out the lake photos I have from our visit to Kingston, Ontario, and Lake Ontario Park. With white cardstock for my background, I decided to do some splatters and smooshing with mists and watercolours to mimic the waves...
Collect Moments Not Things by Katelyn
Hello there crafty people! It's Katelyn here with a new project featuring the Out and About collection! I decided to try a little bit of mixed media for the background on this layout. After digging in my stash I found some perfect colors to match the Out and About collection! I chose a yellow and orange gelato and a blue distress spray. I used the packaging technique to get the watercolor background look. After my mixed media was dry, I worked on my photo layers. I used the diagonal stripe paper as photo mats and then using the word paper...
This is History by Katelyn
Hello everyone! It is Katelyn here with a brand new project! I would consider this a different feel than a majority of my layouts. I think it has a more masculine/vintage feel, but that is also in part from the photos. These photos were all taken at the State House in Annapolis, Maryland. It is a must-see if you are visiting that area. It's filled with history which is what sparked this layout. I started by picking out some vintage papers from the World's Best 12x12 Paper Pack. I loved the watercolor look to this tile-esque backgroun paper. I laid...
Take the Scenic Route by Jenn
Hello, Jenn here! I was really excited this week to pull out my Out & About collection from Wild Whisper. It's such a fun and colourful collection, perfect for travel photos. I decided to use the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine's July sketch for this layout, as well. I chose a black background for this layout because I think it really highlights the colours in the collection. Because my pictures were already printed, I used two 4x6 photos instead of the sketch's 4 square photos. These are photos I took of the gorgeous views of the Badlands of Montana so I knew...
